Up In The Basement - May 23, 2009

We got together with our friends Danielle Matar, Ashlea Wessel and Nicole Ormerod of Pony Up photography studio for a mixed media collaboration. We gave each photographer the challenge of going down to the basement of the Playdead Mansion and using only found props and wardrobe, create a uniquely themed photo shoot. Danielle chose to shoot a twisted vintage dolly portrait in the tool room. Ashlea shot a whimsical under-water fairytale in the boiler room, and Nicole created a sexy rock `n roll scene in the band jam space. Once the photos were printed Stu was given the job of Playdead-ifying them into a mixed media art piece. We threw a launch party (of course!) to showcase the original prints as well as Stu`s versions.
